Occasionally, an inconclusive ultrasound or mammogram may require further diagnostic study. Your doctor may recommend a thyroid or breast biopsy.

Through the skillful hand of our Interventional Radiologist, we can obtain a tissue sample through an ultrasound guided or MRI guided biopsy. This is a less invasive alternative to a surgical biopsy, will leave little to no scarring and is typically performed in less than an hour. The tissue sample is then sent to a lab for pathology. 

Not only does a needle biopsy procedure cost less than a surgical biopsy, there is no “pre-consultation” required, allowing you to receive the results that you want and need in less time.
