MRI
MRI uses absolutely NO radiation.
MRI images of the soft-tissue structures of the body are clearer and more detailed than with other imaging methods.
MRI is an invaluable tool in early diagnosis and evaluation of tumors.
MRI contrast material is less likely to produce an allergic reaction than the iodine-based materials used for conventional x-rays and CT scanning.
You may listen to music during the MRI scan or you may bring someone to sit quietly with you in the exam room.
Since MRI uses no radiation, pregnant patients may be scanned if the ordering physician gives approval.
